Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Chick 1 says:
The fifth and my favorite in the series so far, I watched this last night with a friend who hadn’t seen it yet. We were preping for the upcoming July release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth movie and number one on my I Can’t Wait List for summer.
The Basics: Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts is a bleak one indeed but he also begins to grow into the leader he’s destined to be. Read the rest of this entry »

Randomness: So What Is Lens Flare? And Why Should I Care?
Chick 1 says:
Chick 2 can explain this better than I but for our loyal readers who are wondering, “What is lens flare and why should I care?” Here are a couple of examples of flare from the Star Trek movie. (No, it’s not something they make the waiters at Chotsky’s wear.) I’ll leave the technical explanations to Wendy Jo.

I get it. I get it. There are a lot of bright lights on the ship and alot of shooting into suns & stars so naturally there will be some flare but come on!
Discuss.

I had read several of the books and enjoyed them but didn’t know if they could be adapted. Read the rest of this entry »

On My Radar: Shymalan, Carrey, & Willis
Chick 1 says:
New category. Movies that are On My Radar are more developed than Casting News but haven’t quite won a place on my I Can’t Wait! list. So, a couple of interesting blips popped up this week.
The Last Airbender: M. Night Shymalan is currently directing the movie version of Nickelodeon’s series of the same name. I’ve never seen it so I have no idea what it’s about but I’m glad to see Shymalan branching out. Read the rest of this entry »
